Originally from Sacramento, California, Rachel Shears was always intrigued by manipulating hair. The amount of fun she had in creating new looks, and styling hair was seemingly endless. By just 12 yrs old you could already find Rachel styling away on her friends for every event, special occasion, dance, prom, or just for fun. It’s no wonder that as soon as she had her diploma in hand she was ready to get started in beauty school.

After receiving her cosmetology license in Northern California, she made her way down south to Los Angeles to establish a home base. It was here that she was able to better define her skills gaining the professional experience she needed to master her craft. Over the next decade she built her clientele in Southern California, building a successful brand for herself.

​

As she felt the grass growing under her feet, it was her desire to travel that finally convinced her to pick up her feet and move to Las Vegas. Finding the Cielo Salon and Spa team was a dream come true. Here, Rachel will be able to put her innovative and experienced techniques to use while gleaming new ones from the staff. Continuing to service her loyal Los Angeles clients, Rachel travels back at least once a month to maintain the styles and looks she has tended over the past decade.

When she isn’t behind the shears cutting your hairdo you won’t find Rachel sitting at home. Her wanderlust keeps her on her feet, where she is frequently traveling to see family or be outdoors. Her adventures have taken her though Europe, Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean. Not only does Rachel loves hiking the trails here around her new home in Las Vegas, but she continues to explore and travel through the United States, touring our beautiful and diverse country.
